Salisbury and the SAR

The Sons of American Revolution color guard represents less than ten percent of our 25,000 members. Sixteen of our American Presidents have been members. My study of family history started when I was a teenager. The SAR (which I joined at about 51) was a way to get my information into an acid free storage system to provide future generations of my family if they should happen to become interested in family history. I found the welcome letter from the SAR and it is dated August 28, 1991. After I joined I found out about the newly re-started color guard and became active.

I assisted with bringing the colors for the 2004 Super Bowl .

The July 2006 INSSAR events can be seen on youtube.
Some of the venues were Conner Prairie and Crown Hill Cemetery.

The Inssar participates in about 50 parade and events a year.

My hope is to help another member complete there application. I've helped and sponsored over 10 members.
